Open Minds

Social Events and activities to encourage community cohesion.  Plus training of local organisations / communities in the realities of racial inequality and how they can address it.

Open Ears

Encouraging people to approach YREN as a nominated Third Party Race Hate Crime reporting Centre.  Collating data on the experiences, needs and lifestyles of York’s BAME community through consultations, surveys and community events.

Open Mind

This project provides direct support through activities which aim to reduce isolation and loneliness amongst BAME people, plus outreach work providing one-to-one and group support and information.

Open Voices

This involves projects which permit our members to speak out about issues, concerns, ideas and personal skills / knowledge.  Projects where members / volunteers represent the needs and concerns of York’s BAME population.

Friendship Project

At the present time due to Government Guidelines, we are unable to hold the face to face sessions at St Aelred’s Community Centre.  We are therefore holding two sessions per week by zoom, please check our social media sites for weekly updates….
